Who is Lori?

Lori is the designer and artist of Heaven Graphics. Located in Southeast Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Michigan.
I began my love of art and painting by playing with a good old fashioned Crayola watercolor set when I was about 5 years old.
I became fascinated with abstract art at a very young age, and branched out into many other mediums from that beginning.
I have studied graphic design and various art forms for over twenty five years. Beginning with college graduation, I have worked as a graphic designer for a catalog company, an editor for an ecommerce company, worked in layout design for a sports related magazine, and currently work as a web and graphic designer with my business Heaven Graphics.
I also work on various writing and editing assignments, web design, database and website management for clients. I like to create art in both classical and digital mediums, write, bicycling and photography. I enjoy all things blogging, tech, internet and social media.
A "brush" painter at heart, I went in search of a way to create art digitally, and discovered a program called Paint Shop Pro. I followed tutorials written by others and picked up my own style of drawing and creating graphics. I still enjoy learning new things through tutorials when I can find the time to work on them. I don't consider myself a photographer in any way, except being able to push the camera button, but I also enjoy taking photos.
I enjoy creating unique, original graphics and works of art that reflect things found in nature with an original style and technique. I'd have to say my most dominant inspirations are music, people, nature, and sometimes bounce ideas around with some of my talented graphic artist friends.
Other artistic specialties that include: country and primitive folk art craft designs, colored pencil art and acrylic tole painting.
